Portable fire extinguishers and hose reels are the first line of defence against the potentially disastrous consequences of a fire. Wormald Fire Hose Reels are manufactured to comply with the New Zealand Building Code.

The Wormald Fire Hose Reel features:

  • A solid brass hose reel nozzle.
  • Quick and easy installation using our simple wall mounted bracket

Fire Hose Reels are normally installed to comply with specific Regulatory Requirements of the New Zealand Building Code. Fire Hose Reels are located to provide a reasonably accessible and controlled supply of water to combat a potential fire risk. The length of a fully extended fire hose is normally between 18 and 36 meters. They are available in diameters of 13, 19 and 25mm (internal measurement). These appliances are designed to deliver, as a minimum, 14L of water per minute. However, some hose reels offer flows of 75L per minute. A control nozzle attached to the end of the hose enables the operator to control the direction and flow of water to the fire.
