Wormald In The Community

Supporting the community that supports us

Every year Wormald employees support many charities and community initiatives in New Zealand and around the world.

Whether it is through sponsorship, donations, mentoring the disadvantaged or raising money for a worthy cause or campaign, we are committed to helping those in need through a range of ongoing partnerships, some of which include:

The National Burn Centre

Fighting fire and limiting fire damage to buildings and homes is a job Wormald takes very seriously. But while buildings can be repaired with relative ease, the damage to people can have far more lasting – and devastating – effects.

A major burn can take just seconds to permanently damage the body. Each year 40 New Zealanders suffer major burns to more than 30 percent of their body. To help ease the pain of serious burns, Wormald adopted the National Burn Centre, situated at Middlemore Hospital, as their charity of choice.

Employer of New Zealand Fire Service Volunteers

The New Zealand Fire Services offers an Employer Recognition Programme which publicly acknowledges the importance of employers who support volunteers and the self employed who volunteer in their local fire brigade.

The programme is based on building partnerships with employers and the self-employed who share similar values and a commitment to help build strong, safe and caring communities.

Wormald is proud to confirm their commitment to the community by being recognised as an Employer of New Zealand Fire Service Volunteers.
