The Red Hawk™ from Dyn-optics is a hand held thermal scanner, similar in size to a torch, which enables accurate detection of hot spots. It emits an increasingly loud alarm as the unit gets closer to a hot spot, allowing pin point location of hidden heat sources.  

Red Hawk ™ thermal scanners cost around a tenth of the price of a thermal imaging camera and they enable firefighters to quickly find hot spots even in full sunlight or a smoke filled room.  

These easy-to-operate units enable quick mop up operations and also double as a man-down alarm. Operators can activate a continuous warbling sound to alert other personnel that help is needed.
